Who are you?

I'm a dad who spends most my free time adventuring with a 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son and my wife Laura (my better half). I'm easy-going and don't take myself too seriously.  Read more on my About page My light-hearted sense of humor helps my clients be more at ease, which makes it easy for me to find the authentic person who too often gets lost behind cheesy grins and uncomfortable poses in most "typical" photo sessions. I love to photograph real people - regardless of age, race, sexual preference, religion or body type. All I ask is that you relax and be yourself. Be you. Be comfortable. Have fun. I'll bring the camera and take care of the rest.

What's your style?

Buzzwords and trendy phrases aside, I make authentic, heartfelt images that capture the liveliness, passion and spirit of real people and their memorable moments.

Where are you located?

I'm based out of Boston, but photograph weddings and portraits throughout New England. There is no additional travel fee for events located within an hour of zip code 02131.

May I see a full wedding?

Why yes, you may! Actually not enough people ask this one...but they should. Honestly, it's easy for photographers to select a single image for their portfolio from a mountain of work. But your wedding is more than a single image. I pride myself on creating images throughout the course of a wedding day that individually have emotional impact and together weave a complete story of your day.  I recommend that you always ask to see a body of work from any photographer that you are considering so that know what your photographer's end product truly looks like. See  my Facebook page for some of my most recent weddings.

We would love engagement pictures. Is an engagement session included in your collections?

Engagement sessions are always included in my photography proposals. I love photographing couples at this point because it gives us time to get to know each other and for you to feel comfortable in front of my camera so that when the wedding day comes, we already have a solid rapport with each other.

Can we recreate photos you find on Pinterest?

We can certainly chat about what drew you to the photos you found on Pinterest! However, your wedding is unique, just like the two of you. I like to work with you and your personalities in mind.  I am open to any and all ideas, plus I want you to be happy and satisfied of course.

How many photos do you deliver and when can I see them?

My goal is to deliver a collection of photos that encompass the moments and feeling of your day. Each wedding is unique with it's own cast of characters, so I never aim for or promise a certain number. That said, for most weddings I generally deliver between 600 - 800 photos. All photos will be color-corrected, edited, and ready to print. Delivery method is by digital download or a flash drive. Your wedding photos are guaranteed to be posted on your private gallery no later than 30 days after your wedding. I back up that guarantee by putting my money where my mouth is in the form of free prints and if I miss the deadline. So far that’s been zero times. :)

That sounds great but can you give me the unedited images?

Part of what you are hiring your photographer to do is to present a finished product. Images should be polished, edited, and ready to share by the time you see them. That means the photos with blinks and unflattering looks are tossed, and multiple shots of the same thing are trimmed in order to present you with a view of your day that is memorable, not overwhelming with 6 versions of the same photo. Professional Photography is more than a click and passing a file and it is my opinion that photographers who just hand off huge sums of unedited photos are in reality doing a huge disservice to their clients. So no, I don't do that. ;)

Who is your second photographer?

I work with several very talented second photographers, all who are full time wedding photographers themselves, and all who have a similar photography style to mine so that their images blend seamlessly.

How soon should I book you?

As soon as possible. Most of my clients book me about a year out from their wedding date, but don't let that discourage you from asking if your date is still available.

What kind of deposit do you require when I book you?

I require a 25% deposit to hold your wedding date. The remaining balance can be sent in installments up until a week before the wedding.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I am fully insured. If your venue requires proof of insurance, please let me know and I can send it along to them.  I also have insurance for all my equipment.
